Doing it for the indies – Tribe Global Supercharges Singapore

Tribe Global – the global marketing network of independent communications agencies of which Bonsey Design is a member – landed in Singapore in late June for a three-day Supercharge Your Agency event.  Sponsored by Accountability and in collaboration with digital delivery platform BluTui, the indie-exclusive event took a deep dive into the future of agency operations, creativity, technology and the practical shift from hourly to scope-centric, value-based charging.

The event, which attracted a host of Tribe Global members and other guest from around the region kicked off with drinks and introductions on Bonsey Design’s office roof terrace, followed by two intensive and informative days of networking, host speakers and interactive group sessions.

Day One’s fascinating array of speakers included industry legends Cavin Soh and Ted Lim prognosticating the future of agency start-ups and creativity, Jay Soo (Moving Bits) advising on how to master the art of marketing in Asia, and Natalie Lowe (Orange Blowfish) sharing insights on Chinese Z Consumers.  Networking activities and panel discussions added to the discussions, which extended further into the night over a highly animated chilli crab dinner.

Day Two saw feted consultant, author and adman Michale Farmer (Farmer & Co) joined by global procurement expert Sabrina Traskos to discuss how independent agencies can assert themselves more effectively in the increasingly challenging and disintermediated world of corporate procurement practices.  Graeme Blake then shared more details of Blutui’s ground-breaking digital delivery platform which is set to be a major win-win for agencies and clients seeking a more efficient, equitable and creative way to deliver digital assets.
